Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Her other roles comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and studied theatre through Northwestern University. Anna began her career in Chicago performing in stage role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood and began acting in films and TV shows. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she played Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. In addition, she played in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. It wasn't until the late 1990s that she took on a role in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons in Deadwood's second season. In 2008, she was picked as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully is the Deadwood film and other films also featured her. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. The actress, in 2022, also was a part of a four-part audio-play podcast titled Numbered Days. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's personal life.
